Countdown to Dublin Horse Show

After four hugely competitive qualifiers held at Barnadown, The Meadows, Mullingar and Maryville, 20 qualified combinations for the 2017 Connolly’s RED MILLS 7 & 8 year old International competition at this years Dublin Horse Show at the RDS are now confirmed.
The RDS first introduced this innovative international competition for 7 & 8 year-old horses in 2010 and it has proven to be a huge success. From the outset, the competition was aligned closely with the RDS Equestrian Mission, to promote the production of top class Show Jumping horses in Ireland.
This is the fourth year that Connolly’s RED MILLS have sponsored this prestigious international competition, which features the top 20 combinations from Ireland, who will be joined at the Dublin Horse Show by up to 24 additional International entries from around the world.
Past winners of the Connolly’s RED MILLS 7 & 8 year old International competition at the RDS include, Lauren Hough (USA) with Lady Davos, Marlon Modolo Zanotelli (BRA) with EIS Isaura, and Ireland’s Cian O’Connor riding Aramis.

A massive 276 combinations competed at the four qualifiers held at Barnadown, The Meadows, Mullingar and Marville for the Connolly’s RED MILLS 7 & 8 year-old class to be held at the Dublin Horse Show.

The full list of international entries for the Connolly’s RED MILLS 7 & 8 year old International competition, will be confirmed shortly before the Dublin Horse Show begins on August 9th.
Along with a very generous prize-fund, the owner of the winning Connolly’s RED MILLS 7 & 8 year old horse will receive The “John Higgins” Memorial Perpetual Challenge Trophy, while The “Corry” Perpetual Challenge Trophy will be presented to the rider of the winning horse.
