Eighth Round of the Munster Grand Prix League

July 11, 2014

A massive 67 horses and riders have declared for this Saturday’s eighth round of the Connolly’s RED MILLS Munster Grand Prix league, at Cork Summer Show.

All of the main title challengers will feature, including Tipperary’s Seamus Hayes who won the last two rounds of the series at Tallow and Clonmel to close the gap on league-leader Francis Connors.

The Cork Summer Show start-list includes riders from all corners of Ireland, with Co Tyrone’s Peter Smyth, Galway’s Thomas O Brien and current National Grand Prix league-leader Vincent Byrne from Co Kilkenny, all in action, along with Irish Show Jumping Team Manager Robert Splaine who will fly the flag for Co Cork.

Organised by the Munster Agricultural Society, the 172nd Cork Summer Show, which takes place in Curraheen, is one of the oldest agricultural shows in Ireland and annually attracts over 25,000 visitors.

Saturday’s Connolly’s RED MILLS Munster Grand Prix at Cork Summer Show gets underway around 1pm.
