Japanese Olympic Rider, Taizo Sugitani, has become the latest athlete to come under the Connolly’s RED MILLS Ambassador roster. Sugitani jets out to Rio next week to take part at the Rio 2016 Olympics with the Hyperion Stud’s Imothep.
The Dutch based rider is the highest ranked rider for Japan competing in Rio which will be his sixth in succession to compete at. In addition to this, Taizo has also competed at the last five World Equestrian Games and two World Cup Finals. At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, he finished 13th and competed in the Final of the London Games in 2012.
Speaking from Rio, Sugitani said of the new partnership; “I am delighted to be part of the Connolly’s RED MILLS team. I have been feeding my horses with Connolly’s RED MILLS for some time and it has been fantastic for the muscle development in my horses. I firmly believe that it has shown me the biggest difference in the horses since starting with the feed.”
“I am now busying preparing in Rio for the first day of showjumping, which takes place this weekend. My horse, Imothep is ready to jump, he feels fantastic and I’m really excited about getting started this weekend.”
