Shane Breen

Based at Hickstead, Shane runs Breen Equestrian with wife Chloe. Born in Limerick Shane got his first pony at the age of five and hunted throughout his childhood. He believes this hunting background has stood him in good stead, especially helping to win many derby style competitions including the Hickstead Speed Derby and the Hickstead Eventing Grand Prix.

Representing Ireland at Pony level Shane became European Silver Medalist and won the opportunity to spend some time in Nelson Pessoa’s yard. He then progressed through Junior and Young Rider teams to the Irish National Team and he has contributed Nations Cup victories.
